Re: [REL] Wilden Hühner, Die (2005)

Finally got around to watching this and absolutely loved it! It feels like so many "young girl" movies are about seeing how many awful, soul crushing things the "young girl" can be put through, so it's always nice to find a film like this that is more lighthearted and just about ...

Thank you too! Nerdy write-up: This was one of the first "First Love" movies I found and I just realized I didn't have an upgraded version because I think I initially got it off that russian site. Thanks for the subtitles, I'm def going to check it out because I was wanting to rewatch thi...

Re: Which old films would you like to see remade?

If I get to choose from films here I'd hope for something like "The Further Adventures of Madicken" They hire 2 new girls around 8 or 9 that look somewhat like Jonna Lilijindahl and Liv Alsterlund after unearthing notes from Astrid Lindgren that meticulously map out Madicken's life into he...

Re: [REL] Oskars Kleid (2022)

Thank you Nasuada this sounds really interesting so I'm definitely going to check it out. Ive watched films from a lot of countries ive never watched films from before since I registered here. It's been sort of an exploration of different cultures through film. Maybe that's overstating a bit but it'...

Re: [REL] The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020) TV-Series

I'm a HUGE fan of Mike Flanagan, but yeah this series was a bit of a miss for me as well. it almost felt like an adult adaptation of a Goosebumps book in terms of how goofy the plot and twists became. I personally found Hill House significantly better (and Midnight Mass even better than that.) But h...

Re: [REL] Iris (2011) [Finland/Sweden]

If I'm going to bump an old movie I usually pick a board whose most recent post ... As for me, I am personally just here to share and discuss films and everything I post in I am actively sharing, I don't have a meaningful post count over the (approaching) year I've been posting here, anyway. Just a...

Re: [REL] Iris (2011) [Finland/Sweden]

I am really enjoying seeing your little recommendations lately, marvingray. You seem to be bumping some great looking movies that are on my watch list. Oh, and here's the chance for me to say thank you to ghost for the upgrade. I originally thanked starfish for ghost's upload (I must have scrolled ...

Re: [REL] Iris (2011) [Finland/Sweden]

Another awesome movie! I have been finding some excellent films on here lately.

I am always on the lookout for 8-12 yo girl primary POV films set in the 1800s or early 1900s if anyone sees this and has any suggestions. I know that's oddly specific, lol.

Re: [REL] Pahanhautoja (2022)

I really love this movie, but I have a question...does anyone think this has a very similar plot to the short film Elisa? https://www.first-loves.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13723#p104070 I mean, not the bird monster aspect but most of the other themes: obsessive mom, doppelganger, abused/emotionally...
