I agree, it is a definite must see. It as it all, history, fantasy, adventure, romance and sorrow plus a cute kid, what more could you want in a movie.

Re: Somewhere & Vivaldi

I would say it looks like a great movie to see when you are feeling sad, a pick me up heart puller.

I thought it was very calming and relaxing, I could almost see myself doing the same things only with out the swimming, don't do that. It is very real, like watching life as it happens no script just real as it happens life. The bit about the night swimming was a bit weird but so it life.

Re: [REL] Alan & Naomi (1992)

I have seen this several times as it is shown on CBC somewhat regularly, about every ten months or so. I liked it every time, very heart warming and thoughtful.

The only regular character is the Littlest Hobbo himself but most of the stories revolve around him helping kids so there are a lot of Canadian child actors in it. I can't say how many of them when on to make a career of it but there were a lot of kids featured in the show. Interesting note is than ...

It was on every morning and I would watch it while eating breakfast, it was the best. If you whistle that tune every Canadian will start whistling it with you because we all know it, the show is still in reruns here.

Re: [REQ] You Can't Do That on Television (1979-1986)

I loved this show when I was a kid, watched it nearly everyday. My mother hated it though so we would change the channel when she came around. I would love to see some episodes again to see if I still thought it was funny or if my tastes have changed much.
