I thought this had been posted but does not appear in search, and also no match in this forum.

It is a mix of live action and animation where some strange creatures (presumably from another planet) made from what looks like brightly coloured play-doh, turn up at the place of two children (boy and cute gal), and the subsequent adventures.

Highly entertaining, clothes appropriate for time - worthy release - source works so don't be put off by size - down in two days !!

First release for a while so enjoy...

Good to have this in re-release, as you were right, it has been released. In fact there's a series of 'Chobotnice' films, somewhere.

Translation of the title is "Octopusses from the second floor", and those creatures are made from a strange material found by both kids by the sea. The plot has been "enriched" by a criminals who are chasing after this material (and the kids) because of its interesting properties. Very nice series, favorite of both kids and adults in the time of "normalization" in our country (1970´s). Btw, main female role is played by Dagmar Veškrnová, who became later wife of President Havel.
