[REL] Arabela (1979-81) TV series

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0175381/

Have watched a couple of these and they are terrific, and have plenty of scene time of the boy and girl (can't find her credit on IMDB to tell you who she is). For example, the one about red riding hood, the girl is played by same actress as classics such as :-

# Kluk za dve petky (1983)
# Levé krídlo (1983)
# "Stück Himmel, Ein" (1982) (mini) TV Series .... Janina David
# Brontosaurus (1980) .... Dana

# "Arabela" (1979) TV Series .... Little Red Riding Hood (unknown episodes)
# Kulový blesk (1978)
... aka Ball Lightning (International: English title)
# At zijí duchové (1977) .... Leontýnka
... aka Long Live Ghosts! (USA)
# Jak se tocí Rozmaryny (1977) .... Zuzana

described a a Czech classic which mixes two periods of time, the animation and special effects look cool for the time.

Anyway, enough of that here are the links. As always, enjoy...

"Stück Himmel, Ein" (1982) (mini) TV Series .... Janina David sounds not really Czech, believe me, I´m a native speaker. Otherwise, many thx for Arabella. Well, btw, there´s another very interesting Czech series from 80´s called "Vlak dětství a naděje" (Train of the childhood and hope), no OT scenes afaik, but very nice girl as a main hero. And shows in quite realistic way the atmosphere in the years of Munich dictate and following German protectorate and WWII, seen through the eyes of a child and a teenager. I´ll try to find it, and if I succeed I´ll ask for help to make a links.

Also would really like the Ein Stuck von Himmel as well - sounds intriguing.

Oho, thanks Billanben! :bigups Well, the full sources are most likely to find on Czech hubs of eMule "competitors", like Strong DC++ etc. I´ll look on asap.

Gotta tell you some have completed Vlak Detstvi A Nadeje - sources come and go. Gal is about 8 in first two and a half episodes - unfortunately she decides to wear tights a lot of time, but when not - wow. Afer that she becomes teen with tights all the time but very pretty and good actress nevertheless. Abel will correct me but looks like revolves around her growing up in a Czech village, the teasing from other kids, the bonds she forms with various family etc. I would highly recommend having a go at downloading this - do not believe anyone will be disappointed !

Well, no, you´re basically right, only I can find more subtleties in the plot. Btw, in one thing I would correct you, it is played not in the village, but mostly in a second largest town of the country, in Brno (although, of course, by some standards it is a village :) ).

Unfortunately the given links of "Vlak dětství" are pretty much dead (I've completed less than 10% in 10 months) :(

Speaking of Arabela (not to be confused with [REL] Arabela se vrací (think 1993 series)), she's a cutie, but the rips are only 360x288 (I have all in my archive if still needed).

Hey I found some cool stuff relating to this release. Uloz has quite the selection of this series, most of them all in excellent HD quality. And some really good subs!

At first I found this 720p to be great quality, starting with the first ep shared HERE.

Then I found that 1080p was also shared HERE. Then I noticed the 720p had larger filesize and in comparison, this 1080p encode, while nice to be shared, looks fairly compressed.

Then I saw someone is sharing the entire series in very high quality 1080p episodes starting with the first episode HERE.

And subs for all 13 episodes here!!

edit: Fixed links. Also, I am finding that even those files that claim to be in the original Czech language do appear to have the overdubbing effect. This wasn't uncommon in the 70s and 80s, however it is a bit more noticeable here.

I've begun downloading the first few and will check them out to see how they are.
