i usually wait until i see several full copies or no one downloading for a while before i take it out of share folder. i have a few files that are so popular that they have been in share for months. but less files shared usually translates to faster uploads. so the files that are not being downloaded by "known members" i take out of share when i see at least 10 full downloads. i also do a search for the file to see how many files are out there.
fortunate that emule allows us to re share a file so easily.
thanks again

You know; I think I know what I'm doing until you, FLL, emuler or some other someone starts into this Greek...
lol
Sometimes I wish I were more technical minded, other times... Well, here's how it works for me:
*I click on my 'eMule' icon.
*The eMule machine magically appears on my desktop, set on 'Servers'.
*I click on a 'Server Name' that I feel will work best [Nowadays usually 'edonkeyserverFr1'].
*I go to 'Kad' and click on 'Bootstrap'.
*When I get a new file, I go to 'Shared Files' and set that file to 'Release'.
*I'm in business!
This makes me a happy person as it's very easy to operate, and I don't have to stress out with any other bs numbers...
