Great job ptg and pranama!!
What you've done with this title reminds me of the old Jim Steinman song first released by Air Supply back in the early '80's: 'Making Love Out of Nothing at All'...
Many thanks for going the extra mile and staying with the search until this film was found. Once again; teamwork!!

I find her eyes hauntingly beautiful...
Thanks again ptg and pranama for bringing this movie to FLM!

Re: [REL] Hordubal (1980)
This was a somewhat dark topic - a man returns home after a long time away to find his wife has another man living with her, and indeed seems to prefer him. His daughter treats the other man almost like a father because she barely knows her real father. She only has about 5% screen time and isn't a major player, though her character is important to the story. The OT scene is indeed very short, maybe 20 seconds.
Lack of subtitles made this less enjoyable than it might have been for me. The story didn't seem to follow too closely with Kapek's novel, which sort of surprised me because Czech historical films tend to be fairly accurate, and one of the book's central themes was the betrothal of the little girl. I still liked the film, but for the story itself, not for the little amount of time spent showing the girl and her part in the drama.

Thanks. Looks like a proper source, maybe even a remaster from original tapes (but probably not 35mm/1080p).
Re: [REL] Hordubal (1980)
Film released in April 1980, but obviously shot in the summer of 1979. The girl (Klára Pollertová) was born on September 17, 1971. So she was 7 years old, almost 8. Let's be precise!
