Thirteen year old Maruska is not obese, but does have a few extra pounds on her body. Bombarded with visuals of beautiful women with 'perfect' figures on TV and in magazines, she feels that she is out of shape. In addition, she is at an age when she finds herself starting to like boysin a different way. She therefore decides - must become more like the girls in the fashion magazines. After all, she has a wonderful role model - her best friend. What does it matter that this friend has severe anorexia and her other friend has been hospitalized for the same ... Maruska embarks on the first round: bulimia.
