13 year old Nick (played by Christian Tafdrup) runs away to Copenhagen where he inevitably falls prey to the sordid world of male prostitution and street violence. He falls in with a gang of violent thieves and hustlers led by Rene, a girl posing as a boy, and with whom Nick falls in love. Nick also forms a relationship with Ralph, a middle aged customer, only to be let down by him when Ralph's girlfriend returns from vacation. Eventually an embittered Nick becomes as bad as any of the gang, and continues his downward slide in this griity and arresting tale.
