In the 15th century, both France and England stake a blood claim for the French throne. Believing that God had chosen her, the young Joan (Lise Leplat Prudhomme) leads the army of the King of France. When she is captured, the Church sends her for trial on charges of heresy. Refusing to accept the accusations, the graceful Joan of Arc will stay true to her mission.

Again with Lise Leplat Prudhomme. We know her from Jeannette, l'enfance de Jeanne d'Arc.

Reading history books seems not to belong to the hobbies of french film makers :(.
Jeanne was no child but a (late) teenager. She started to annoy influential people when she was 15 and was sent back home for a good threshing, was 17 when she conquered Orleans and 19 when she was executed. Jeannes beau duc, the Duke of Alencon, said later: "I saw her breast which were beautiful but I never felt any fleshly desire." He must have had a vision then ...

Actors’ performance is so poor, a real disaster, they should have selected confirmed actors for such a famous historical figure in France, and Jeanne was not that young, that’s a factual error. Looks like very amateurish. :(

Hmmm to my opinion Lise Leplat Prudhomme does a great job in this movie (like she did in the musical version before). And I especially like her acting not in a professional way.

I didn't watched it yet until the end.. So maybe after completing it I'll come to the same opinion like you.

Well... Now that i have subs for this movie I spend over 2 hours and watched it.

The movie is just very weird and I think it's not meant to stick exactly to history or whatever.
You shouldn't take this film too seriously...

I even wouldn't say that there is bad acting. For this kind of "parody" of an historical drama the actors were chosen very well to my opinion.
Anyway, it was kind of fun to watch it.
