La Boum (1980)

A thirteen year old girl (Sophie Marceau) moves to Paris with her parents and soon finds her social life revolving around weekend parties called "la boum". At one such event, our heroine meets the boy of her dreams (Alexandre Sterling) but quickly learns romances are full of difficulties.

To complicate her life further, mom and dad decide to separate due to an affair the former admits to having engaged in. Might everyone end up with the love of their life by the time the ending credits roll?

This is one of the first FLM movies; La Boum [ The Party } is about a 13yo girl falling in love for the first time.

13-year-old Vic is new in her high school. She soon makes friends with Penelope and they check out guys together, in the quest for a great love. Then Vic's parents complicate her life by not allowing her to attend the "boum," a big party. But with help from Grand-mere Poupette, Vic is allowed to go, and she falls in love with Matthieu. Meanwhile, her parents' marriage is on the edge when her father's ex-girlfriend demands one last night with him.
