I have this problem too. Can i fix it or i must download the VCD file? If i can fix it, please tell me all the steps. Thanks.ghost wrote:I just finished the SVCD.
Hey ART, what did you do with this DVD? Sorry, but quality really sucks.
What software did you use?
Everything is almost fine, as long there is no motion in the picture..
But then:

Maybe you could do this again in DivX or Xvid format? VCD and SVCD are relicts from the stoneage
Re: [REL] Ce que savait Maisie (1995)
Not really fixable, certainly not without significant quality loss due to reencoding. Your best bet at the moment is probably to wait until either Art gets AutoGK or ghost gets his copy of the DVD, in either case we'll get a better quality .avi file posted here.
Re: [REL] Ce que savait Maisie (1995)
I think the interlacing is "hard coded" in the file. AutoGK reports the video as being progressive. If the svcd had been interlaced for TV viewing, we may have had a chance to re-encode it with acceptable quality loss. As it is, the interlacing is part of the video image.
Re: [REL] Ce que savait Maisie (1995)
Maybe Art can upload the DVD to someone like ghost or FLL who can then do the conversion to avi. With the massive speeds you guys have, it won't take so long. A typical DVD is ~4GB.
A very simple Web Server can let you share files one to one easily. Abyss Web Server from http://www.aprelium.com/downloads is free and easy to use.

Can you upload in DVD format? I know it's more than 4GB (i supouse) but the quality is excelent in dvd format and if you have the DVD i can waste 4 or 5 days to download it.
