[REL] Amelia and the Angel (1958)
Amelia and the Angel (1958)
A young girl (Amelia) is distressed and feeling guilty about losing the wings she was to wear in her school play. Then she notices an angel and follows the angel into a dark building. Upstairs in the attic, bathed in heavenly light, is an artist's model - the ANGEL. The painter ascends a ladder until he is out of shot - supposedly to heaven-and reappears to restore Amelia's joy with a pair of wings.

Re: [REL] Amelia and the Angel (1959)
it is said he did a lot of acid, which helps explain why a lot of his later films were so odd. But despite the oddness they were all entertaining. The crazy man was a genius.
I haven't seen this one, thanks.

Re: [REL] Amelia and the Angel (1959)
i think he was nuts,but in a good way,if that's possible.
Re: [REL] Amelia and the Angel (1959)
Bump.
The arch English narration amuses me, but the ending is absolutely ecstatic. I love it!
Available streaming with U.K. IP or VPN, with optional English captions:
https://player.bfi.org.uk/free/film/wat ... 958-online
(However, the BFI version is only a very slight resolution upgrade over the starfish file still on emule. There is another larger .avi also on emule called "1959-Amelia and the Angel.avi", but that one is a lower-resolution vhsrip.)

Thank you for finding!
576p is better than what he had before.

Re: [REL] Amelia and the Angel (1958)
Huh, I was not sure the resolution uptick would be good enough to interest anyone. I actually had the BFI version downloaded before the original emule file finished, and I had watched the short on DVD years before.
As ghost approves, I shall Release the upgrade:

Re: [REL] Amelia and the Angel (1958)
Why not? It's normal DVD resolution. Although we are in the age of HD, SD movies are still allowed to post.I was not sure the resolution uptick would be good enough to interest anyone.
Thanks for releasing.
Re: [REL] Amelia and the Angel (1958)
AI upscaled it to HD.
