This quasi-autobiographical portrait based on the Thomas Brussig novel follows a love affair from the preteen years to early adulthood and in a darkly comical way suggests it was responsible for the fall of the Berlin Wall. The first third of the tale features the lovers (Adrian Heidenreich, Luca Lenz) at about ten years of age.
