Yes, the typical pattern of these stories is that a child has some problem and the parent explains how he/she dealt with this problem in his/her childhood. The flashback shots are often in black and white.

Maybe it's like someone once asked a famous director: "Half of your movie was in black and white, how did you get this ingenious idea?"
- "Oh, we just run out of color film."

Even though these are DVD rips, the quality of the source is really miserable. I was using the highest noise reduction I've ever used, but after checking the rips more closely, it still seems not to be enough. Currently I'm thinking about re-encoding the whole thing with even higher noise reduction. Frustrating

Releasing this cult series (from the makers of another cult series, Rappelkiste (1973–1984), https://www.first-loves.net/forums/v ... =14&t=5841, also to be completed) is one of the projects I've been planning to do for a long time, so maybe it's time to start...
