I have all my movies stored on a wireless 6 TB NAS. Normally I am not a very well organised person as well, but in this case I would be lost whitout some order.
For my movies (which are about 1200 now.. ) I created subfolders from A to Z.

The best thing about a NAS is that you don't need a big harddrive in your computer anymore and you don't have to worry about running out of space ;)

I never had a problem staying organized. Thought about getting more HDD but I've got plenty of space. I'd rather wait for SSD's to get cheap enough for terabytes at a reasonable price - I can wait. Besides, I'm paranoid so I want equivalent space to back everything up.

Even if I downloaded the ultra-high-res files it wouldn't make much difference because I only have monitors and don't foresee that changing any time soon. Besides, anything I upgrade I have to buy the wife one too. LOL

Yesterday I checked the German pages from our public TV stations for new stuff and see Dschungelkind, who's really a wonderful German movie.
But I wonder me, that the movie is splitted in two parts. I never noticed, that there is a longer version available as on the Release on BluRay / DVD, who has a running time of 132 Min.
After a short research I found the info on Wikipedia... The TV Version is 30 Min longer.

Booth parts are having Credits at the end and a bit of Textparts (Actors etc.) at the beginning of the parts. Part one also include a little preview of part 2.

The next Surprise for me was, that the File is in Full HD (1920 x 1080).
Part one: https://www.ardmediathek.de/video/film- ... DZiYjk3ODQ
Part two: https://www.ardmediathek.de/video/film- ... mFjNTU0MmE

To watch /download it, you have 4 days left until it will be available again. No subs. Both Files have the TV Station logo on right top on the black area.

Direct Filelinks:
Part 1: https://mediandr-a.akamaihd.net/progres ... 0.1080.mp4
Part 2: https://mediandr-a.akamaihd.net/progres ... 0.1080.mp4

PS: I have also found a Version who is not splittet and having a full runtime of 158 Min. But it's not in Full HD (720p) and they put the TV Station Logo over the movie and not on the black part.

Thank you Nasuada! This looks like a good one. I grabbed all the files.

Actually there are optional German subtitles for the WHOLE runtime of the long version embedded in part one at ardmediathek, but not in part two. I don't how they expect that to work for online playback! It looks like these same German subtitles are at opensubtitles:

https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtit ... gelkind-de

It would take some splitting into the two parts (and translation, for me) but I suppose eventually I can make it work. This is one more item on the sudden mountain of subtitle projects, I guess. Maybe I will just watch this one for the pretty scenery and not worry about the dialog.

There are in fact many subtitles in multiple-languages (including English) at opensubtitles, but they seem to be mostly for the shorter version.

About Dschungelkind... a big part of it is monologues that are quite different, even when the scene itself is the same
so only maybe 1/3-1/2 of text is identical in both cuts.
Comparing two sets of German subs it itself a pain because sometimes they have used different words in both subs to say same thing (shortened spoken German differently I mean)
So it is impossible to use compare tools and all is pure handwork

Update: One bad thing with those German subs is that some nin-German phrases (what they say in the jungle) are not in srt but are burned to the movie as hardsubs
So even more handwork for making timings (f the phrases exists in English subs)
