After 6 1/2 years, you might expect a modification of the hash!

Thought that hashes were time-invariant
Thanks for new link!
In 2004 they had different standards as they invented this website and I am sure noone gave thought to how people would deal with their releases almost 7 years later. Often they preferred to mark things as REL even without proven sources rather than having to go back and fix it later. Without their efforts we wouldn't even be here, but since then FLM has evolved and is more organized.
It's not unusual to search eMule and see the same apparent file with different hashes. In my experience hashes get changed for a couple of reasons. The first is disk corruption, either by the actual disk or by someone opening it up with an application which writes to it. Another reason is sometimes someone will take a file which is stuck at 99.9% or close and reshare it as if it's complete, even though the complete source they are advertising is actually a slightly incomplete version of the original. There may be more reasons. If the original source dries up, the new hash may be the only one left, and for most people that's usually good enough.
