i honestly have to admit Blt that i believed your first language was english.you certainly have a good command of the language.

Ikke naken is a great movie, BLT's release is a great rip and though another rip was not required other members are perfectly welcome to offer what they have. (Though, to be honest, with a side by side comparison, the newest release here was most definitely not an 'upgrade'.)

Well put, kev, and a good decision to lock this one, a relatively simple misunderstanding got out of hand.

Starfish's new nearly-3CD version has a better video data rate than BLT's (2950 vs 2070) and as such better quality. 2CD->3CD is much less of an improvement than 1CD->2CD, though, due to limitations of the DVD source. And the fact that SF's borders aren't cropped at all hurts its quality and wastes some of that bitrate, though the original DVD source for both rips is the root cause of that problem. BLT's rip also shows some of the same border problems to a much lesser degree, I think his cropping is a good compromise between too little and too much.

We don't allow new links the same quality as existing ones, to make it more likely that the original link stays shared. But higher quality is OK and is often not intended to be a replacement. SF's rip is an alternate higher quality version for those who care, unlikely to be downloaded or shared by everyone due to its size. (Sort of like the 720p or full DVD versions which occasionally get posted.) It's not an aspersion on BLT's rip.

I regard a post or release by BLT or by SF (or by PTg or by several others) differently than by others. These guys are the lifeblood of our forum, they contribute a great deal and have earned the right to have have some leeway in what and how they post, and the benefit of the doubt. Discussion about those choices and their reasoning is a good thing, it helps understanding, as long as it's civil and respectful.

Thanks to both SF and BLT for their rips, and thanks to SF for the srt subs (which look much better than the computer translations previously available).
(VLC rejects the German .sub file though, I have no idea why).

This is a bug in the forum software, when a message is deleted the database counter of messages in the thread isn't adjusted. So when it sends you to the last page of the thread it might try one page later than the real last page, and that fails.

That's a good post FLL,a lot of answers in there.I edited my post the next day and removed that all important word 'upgrade' but i suppose the damage was done.i admit to 'baiting BLT a little but i think he handled it well enough.I only posted the movie because i didn't have anything better to offer.i remember posting what i thought was a great release and having it completely 'shat on' by Idler in his usual casual manner,i had that happen quite a few times more before the murderous feelings lessened,and i laugh now when i see it happening to others.
we all have to put our egos aside when we're sharing files we have absolutely no ownership rights to whatsoever.

Here are direct links for those who prefer that method or can't use eMule for whatever reason. All I ask is that if you're able to use eMule, please unrar to your shared folder and seed this for a while. Every source helps. You can still burn an .iso file to disc while it's being shared. It won't interfere with the recording process.
