https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5111434/

Plot synopsis: In one of the foreign ports on the Mediterranean Sea a steamship with soldiers is preparing to sail. Crane operator Fernana convinces her captain not to take the ship out of port. There's a fire on the ship at night. Fernan is arrested and sent to prison. Twelve year old Anita, the sister of the arrested, decides to avenge Fernand. The pigeons painted by her appear on the walls of houses, on the sides of departing ships. Anita becomes a participant and a symbol of the struggle for peace ...

Hard to find film featuring Lena Dobrokhotova in her only role, 11-12 yo.

If anyone has the DVD and/or English subtitles you are invited to post them. It would be greatly appreciated! :D

The translitteration of the title seems to be wrong. On internet (including IMDb) you always find "molodets" ...

Molodets is probably closer. "Ty molodec, Anita!" translates to "The Mole, Anita!" and "Ty molodets, Anita!" translates to "Well Done, Anita!".

The original title is "Ты молодец, Анита!".

Mole, as in spy? That's not unreasonable given what I surmised of the plot without subs. I changed the title of the file a little, added some info about the resolution, etc., but didn't really know if the phonetic spelling was right or wrong. IMDb's mistakes often get repeated over and over. So I just left it the way it was.

If you speak Russian I'll defer to you though, since I don't.

Sadly I don't speak russian. But I found this translitteration table. Seems that "c" does not even exist except in "ch". The cyrillic letter "ц" is given as "ts".

Hmm ... interesting. Thanks for posting that link. Looks like IMDb made the right call. Wonder where this spelling came from then?

What do you think: should I change the thread title and/or the filename, or leave them as they are?

Well, people will probably search for the name of the movie as it is given by IMDb, won't they ...

I know Google Translate isn't the best, but it translates "Ты молодец, Анита!" as "Well done, Anita!", and since IMDb shows it as "Ty molodets, Anita!", I'll change it to that. It won't matter if someone renames the download on their own computer - the filehash is what's important.
