Story of a young Russian girl who aspires to dance in a ballet like her heroines. She gets in with a crowd of local kids who appear to be staging a play along the lines of Grease. After much in-house squabbling, she finally persuades the lead that it would be great to include a ballerina as his leading lady. Her family is instrumental in her keeping the will to go through with this. Definitely one for the db-billanben stable !!

Two basic plot lines:

1) Lena, daughter of divorced parents living with her mather, attempts to put her parents again together. Her father is leading balet dancer. Her mother speculates about wedding with a hungarian colleague. Lena takes action from balet performance as real and has terrible dreams about it.

2) Lena teaches chidren from the street to clasical balley. Later, there appears new boy, sings rock and roll and teaches children to rock balley. It results to conflict. Additionally, Lena turns her fantasies to lies spoken to children.

All resolves on the final school summer performance, where Lena dances together with other children. And symbolic happyend wedding.
