Ake (Martin Lindström) is the young son, roughly six, of a doctor residing in a small Swedish village. Also, living in his home are an insane relative, a sister (Katja Blomquist) he likes to tease, his chain-smoking mother and a grandmother who likes to spook the kids with ghost stories. In a slice-of-life manner, we see our little hero interact with these individuals as well as with the villagers. Vignettes include: Ake growing guilty over a trick he played on a smaller boy (David Boati); dealings with a zealous Bible-thumper; and, addressing the death of his best friend (Alexander SkarsgÅrd). A cute film with an equally cute cast directed by the famous Swedish actor Allan Edwall.
