Re: [REL] The Nightcomers (1972)
I vaguely remember seeing this on TV here many years ago. Very creepy and certainly OT, even though our strict nudity laws means I know nothing of any special scenes - they would have been cut out completely prior to the telecast. Well worth downloading.

Re: [REL] The Nightcomers (1972)
Anyone seen complete sources for the link Drako posted?
Re: [REL] The Nightcomers (1972)
I never saw more than 2.6% on Drako's link... a number of people are stuck.
I was, though, able to find an English version on Usenet:

Yes, Iván Noel's haunting hybrid of 'The Turn of the Screw' and 'The Wicker Man'. Of course, we got it here:Ziggy Plock wrote:..I just watched the argentinian version of TotS, called La tutora, which has plenty of those.......

(In fact we have pretty much all of his [sometimes] controversial films:

Not to hijack THIS thread, 'The Nightcomers' is an intriguing prequel film for a very popular and oft remade tale. I holds to the spirit of the original, and you come to the realization that Flora and Miles are NOT the innocent children everyone mistakes them to be...
Despite being made in the '70's and capitalizing on the starpower [at the time] of Marlon Brando, it's well worth a watch if you enjoy the series. EVEN though Verna Harvey, the actress playing the character of Flora, was 19 at the time of the films release..
I guess she HAD to be, due to a couple of scenes:

But she was cute, in a pug-nose sorta way:
