The Camomile Lawn is a British drama first shown in 1992, set primarily in the second world war it was a fine production. The story revolves around mainly seven characters and goes from a modern day funeral back in time.There is adultery; pedophilia; under age sex; bereavement; racial prejudice; a 'marriage' with two fathers and one mother; a manslaughter; a 'flasher'; sentimentality; casual sex; women's liberation; alcoholism; rape…..but you get the picture. The part of young Sophie is played well by Rebecca Hall (11 at the time) Jennifer Ehle and Tara Fitzgerald manage to show off their ample charms as well. WOW!!!

I'm SURE this is the British TV series that an online friend was telling me about a year or so ago!!

He couldn't remember the name, but his description of it pretty much follows yours. He said that the actress that played the young orphan girl was FANTASTIC!!

It's also coolio to note that the DVD is readily available too, for those folks like me [when the cash is up to spending the $25 - $40] who are cursed with the 'Obsessive Compulsion' to OWN the DVD...

Though made for TV, and held back by those constraints; the pix you've posted seem to show enough OT scenes to make this series a winner!

Yes Kev I ripped the DVD's myself, the girl (Rebecca Hall) can be called captivating indeed she is featured in a lot of the series. I was spoilt for choice in what to include as a screen grab, there is some adult nudity in the series but Jennifer Ehle and Tara Fitzgerald who play the young Calypso and Polly are pleasing on the eye
