Christmas came early today with my long awaited delivery of the 2 box 6 DVD set containing 24 episodes. Titled De Vijf, it's the Dutch import English audio collection being sold on eBay.
I'm more than happy to rip & release these but bearing in mind there are 6 discs & 24 episodes I'd like to know of any interest before I go ahead.

Just to clarify - Dutch versions (with Dutch actors etc) or English versions in Dutch - or am I just talking double-Dutch

English 1996 tv version, English language.
Unless I post the Dutch DVD cover or rip the Dutch subtitles (unlikely) you'll never know the difference.
You talking double-dutch is probably preferable to me talking bo££ocks!

Despite a lukewarm response I've decided to rip & release these. A good enough reason is I think this series is great & you lot obviously need educating!

To clear up any confusion, despite the Dutch DVD cover this is the 1996 UK TV version with English audio.
I'll not release this all in one go but it should be done over the course of the weekend. To avoid the length of the thread getting ridiculous I'll simply edit the post for subsequent releases.
Annoyingly, at present the release will be incomplete with one episode having a disc error that refuses to read. I've not worked out what to do about this yet but I'll try firing up the laptop, installing DVD Decrypter & see if that reads it.
I'm releasing the episodes in the order of the DVD's which doesn't appear to coincide with the IMDB listing. There will obviously be some duplicates with those already released.

This completes the release apart from the missing episode which will be posted when a replacement disc arrives. Let's hope it doesn't take as long to arrive as the original!

I am getting this series based on your recommendation, I am in the US thus hadn't even heard of it until FLM so I have no preconceived notion it's very good. It might be a little while before I actually get a chance to view it all, though! Thanks for releasing it; I will often not specifically ask for it, because I believe if I don't have the time to view it right now, what right do I have to ask someone else to take the time to release it? It is most certainly appreciated, but like FLL I don't have the time to watch. Unlike FLL, I don't have humongous bandwidth either. I'll be leaving in a couple of weeks - a kind of sabbatical - and I don't think these will complete before I leave. Certainly, when I get back, I shall revisit these. Hope they are well shared by then, or I'll have to beg you to reshare them.
