Wow!

I didn't realize that it had even hit the theaters!!

I read this book a couple of years ago when it was first released. If you like King, it was pretty good.

In the beginning [almost the first 1/3 of the novel] the story was more of a chronicle of a hopeless alcoholic dealing with trying to kick their addiction. Having a cousin who's a chronic alcoholic, it hit pretty close to home and I found that aspect of the novel intense and relatable....

This movie virgin of King's book kind of reminds me of the difference between the book and movie virgins of 'The Girl With All the Gifts' in that; in both books the young female protagonist is white, while in the movies she's played by a black girl.

Years ago, it seemed like major revamping's like that usually happened in the remakes, NOT the original releases..
