I assume the camel was lost for technical reasons, not "retroactive editing". It was definitely in the VHS versions but not on any of the widescreen ones, and if your VHS tracking wasn't right or the tape was old it was more a "comma" anyway.

And I won't make any comments about 'one hump or two'. LOL

It is an mkv container with two Russian audio tracks, the original English, two different English sub options and one Russian sub option. Who ever recorded and ripped it must have been able to get the raw feed.

The file is too big for me to share that is why I linked to it. Fans of this movie will appreciate the upgrade I am sure. If I have the time and if someone else doesn't do it first(optimal if someone did) I will try and rip it to a sharable size leaving the Russian audio tracks out of course.

Unbelievable... Arte is targeted to French/German audience, I doubt they would broadcast with English/Russian subs or Russian audio

Maybe someone combined Arte HD picture with subs and audio tracks from somewhere else
