My sister hank (10) 1972 - think unlikely as is a short

Napoleon and Samantha (10) 1972 - should be available - Disney film with well-known cast (maybe available with foreign name ?)

Kansas City Bomber here :-

Doesn't look that interesting so let us know if any good.

Alexander, Alexander (11) 1973 - again unlikely as looks a rarety

Rookie of the Year (11) 1973 - should be able to get this but not on em at moment. Doesn't look inspiring.

Smile Jenny, You're dead (12) 1974 - Agree would LOVE to see this...

Alice Doesn't Live here anymore (12) 1974 - This looks a very interesting film with great director (scorcese) and great cast (inc Harvey Keitel) - downloading and looking forward to this. Minor but interesting part for Jodie here :-

Echoes of a Summer aka The last castle (14) 1976 - This looks very interesting and should be available (stars JF and Richard Harris). Note that this is NOT the same as the freely available "The Last Castle" 2001

Moi, fleur bleue aka Stop calling me baby! (15) 1973 - DEFINITELY want to see this - she plays a 15yo nympho !!

Casotto (15) 1977 - sounds weird she is a 15yo pregnant girl and whole film set in a beach hut !!! Here :-

Candleshoe (15) 1977 - Mildly interesting Disney flick - can't find this.

So I think that this sums up her interseting roles.

Only thing missed is numerous appearance in the ABC Afterschools Specials - already requested. If ANYONE has these this would be magic.

OK thanks to Art for initial - lets hope we can get some others !!

I must admit I became a Jodie Foster fan the moment I saw her first movie, "Napoleon and Samantha".

I have seen several of the movies mentioned and would love to see them again. I remember "Smile Jenny You're Dead" as being good, it was the pilot for the David Janssen TV series "Harry O" (though Jodie never appeared in the actual series ,which may have been why it lasted only two seasons). Amazon shows a copy available on VHS for the low low price of 59.99 plus shipping. I think I'll pass, but keep looking.

"Rookie of the Year" is probably not available, it was one of the very first "ABC Afterschool Specials" but doesn't seem to have been included on the DVDs of that show. Perhaps the idea of a girl playing Little League baseball isn't as shocking these days, or it was too similar to 'Bad News Bears', the Tatum O'Neal movie.

Speaking of Tatum O'Neal, her movie with her father, "Paper Moon", was turned into a TV series which starred Jodie in the Addie Pray role. Only lasted one season.

Anyway... back to 'Napoleon and Samantha'. I was surprised reading this topic that it wasn't already here, and that it wasn't even on eMule at all. I picked up a copy a while back from USENET (probably a.b.m.thelostmovies though I don't remember for certain), so here it is.

This is a Disney movie which stars Michael Douglas (before anyone knew him as anything other than Kirk's son) and Johnny Whitaker but Jodie has the next-biggest part. Boy is she cute!

You missed it twice, since I originally got it from a.b.m.thelostmovies :)

I have been sharing this continuously since I released it, but I've been away for the past week and shortly after I left my net connection went down :( But I am back and back on eMule, so come and get it!
