[REL] The Haunting of Helen Walker 1995

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113271/
TV remake of the Henry James' classic tale "Turn of the Screw", with changes in location and character names. A live in nanny discovers two children haunted by the spirits and deeds of their former care givers. Written by Humberto Amador
Helen Walker, a young American woman, is hired as a governess for two English children, a boy and a girl, whose parents are dead. The children live with their many servants in an old English mansion. Gradually Helen notices the weird behaviour of the children and finds out that some strange events from the past seem to be haunting the present and concentrating on the children.
The story chronicles the fight of a young governess of the power of evil emanating from beyond the grave to corrupt her two young pupils. The evil concerned is understated and all the more powerful for that.
Valerie Bertinelli emulates Deborah Kerr in facing her eldrich adversaries with dignified gentility and her consequent vulnerability enhances appreciation of her courage; perhaps ultimately this is a movie about the spiritual power of women overcoming the crude, physical power of men. The subtext concerns the conflict between spirituality and materialism - much of the power of the corruption encountered stems from the strong sexuality and lust for physical gratification of the evil Peter Quint (The Nightcomers is blatant in portraying this dimension of the story and suffered critically as a result)
If your tastes in supernatural movies is for subtle horrors glimpsed rather than up front blood and rampage, you'll like this film
This looks good so looking for both this and original Turn of the Screw (1964 I think). Anyone have this recorded by chance ?
Thanks
