Slowly... and with horror, the parents realized their children were the slaves of 'The Thing' from outer space!

A glowing brain-like creature arrives on a beach near a rocket test site via a teleportation beam. The alien communicates telepathically with the children of scientists. The kids start doing the alien's bidding as the adults try to find out what's happening to their unruly offspring.

A truly cheesy 1950's Sci-Fi flick with kids as the central characters. There is a paucity of Sci-Fi with kids - this one is dumb by modern standards, but hey, I'm a sucker for dumb and cheesy Sci-Fi anyway, and having cute Sandy Descher in it is a definite plus. Black & white, 68 minutes, dual audio tracks (English and Italian), well sourced, verified, NMR. No OT scenes.

Wow!! Thanks, Phuzzy4242!

Another cool, campy classic starring kids, unkovered! :think

Sandy Descher sounds familiar, but looking over her imdb 'Filmography' [ http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0221058/ ], nothing really jumps out at me that I specifically would remember her from [except possibly 'A Gift From Heidi']..

Anyway, thanks again, Phuzzy.. :thumbsup

She was the little girl in "Them!" (1954). She was born 11/30/45 so she was 9 years old in Them! and probably 12 years old when The Space Children was being filmed.

Great classic movie. :cool

I did get the blu-ray of this that I mentioned earlier in this thread and have planned on doing a 720p but it was/is far down on my to rip list. LB's rip looks real nice and should be a great upgrade to what is here and better than what I have seen on torrent. :D

Thanks for releasing this LB. Often these old classic films get over looked by modern ones. Personally I think their simplistic charm and character is better than most of the mass produced films of today.
