I really enjoyed this film. True, Joey King's performance was the highlight of it, but I found the rest of it to be very entertaining and quite touching, filled wiuth small but well observed details. I found most of the acting believable, the script sharp and often witty and the pace of the film never dragged. Maybe this doesn't show a real-life family, but I like films that allow me a bit of escapism.
this was a great film. it really brings you in. i watch so many movies that it is rare for me to feel for characters as i did with this movie. i saw it twice and now have it on blu-ray. i think the only FLM movie i liked better this year(2010) was let me in(i saw that twice as well)

emuler... : You've never read any of the Beverly Cleary 'Ramona' books??
Beezus's REAL name was 'Beatrice'.
She's called 'Beezus' because when Ramona started talking that's the way she pronounced Beatrice and the name stuck with the rest of the family. This fact is usually revealed in the first few paragraphs in each of the books [at least the ones bearing Ramona's name.. ].
Here's another version - 1080p, x265. Not sure if it is better than the version above. 1.61 GB.
