[REL] The Fairy King Of Ar (1998)

AKA 'Beings'
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0139060/

As I mentioned here........
https://www.first-loves.net/forums/v ... highlight=
Since birth, Kyle and Evie Preston have been told stories by their grandmother about battling giants who trapped the last of the world's fairies underground many thousands of years ago. When their Grandmother dies, Kyle and Evie inherit an old gold mine and family house that they didn't even know existed. Little do they know the mine is actually keeping fairies trapped and if not set free, they will be lost forever. It's a race against time as the trapped fairies hold the cure to a terminal disease which has befallen the kids' father (Corbin Bersen).
Screenshots can be a peculiar thing & don't always tell the whole story. For whatever reason, I think these are crap & don't do the surprisingly good quality of this print or the delights of Brittney Bomann justice. She's cute, & there'll be more of her to come.

Hwy lb. saw your other post with Brittany and meant to comment there.

I think these films were made by a couple of film production companies [Peakviewing Transatlantic PLC and Concorde Anois*]. They utilized some of the same directors, writers, film crew and actors to make these series of fantasy films. I collected five of them that seemed to be of the same vein:

Dazzle [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0277663/ ]
The Fairy King of Ar (Beings) [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0139060/ ]
The Last Leprechaun [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0277791/ ]
The Little Unicorn [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0277800/ ]
*The White Pony [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0192792/ ] (Though made by a different company this movie has the same look and feel as the others..)

Brittany seems to have been in at least 3 of them, playing different characters each time.

Though a little slow moving for most of the children in my after school care program, these films ARE very nice family movies you can sit down and enjoy with your own kids. :)

Thanks for posting these here, lb. (And I think your caps are fine! :) )

kev.

(lb: Thanks for the PM.. Hopefully corrected correctly this time... :wall )

your screen shots are very good. any time you have good color, can see individual hairs, great facial expression and look at the beautiful reflection in the car window. it is easy to tell it is of fine quality.
i think you enjoy being hard on your self :naughty... LOL

i have the dvd and have enjoyed this movie a few times. i haven't seen it in a while and i now want to see it again.

Thanks for your release loverboy :thumbsup

The important thing to note is: She WAS in her preteeny's when the film was made [born in '87, film released in '98; you do the math]... ;) That's kind of the brilliant thing about celluloid...

Bollocks to whatever she is now! Cheers to the lovely she was then. :heart

Any other observations? :wall

She's definitely a cutie in this film. Visually this is pretty well done, though it seems to be aimed towards younger kids. Not one of my favorites, but it's OK and watchable by the whole family.

Thank you Rich! I notice that torrent has Rifftrax audio, and they are good fun.
EDIT: This torrent ONLY has the Rifftrax comedic voiceover audio, NOT the original movie soundtrack.

For those who want a 1080p upgrade, I am going to take a huge risk and recommend the following. I don't have it downloaded yet but I think I can trust the source:
