Normally at this point somebody comes along & says......... "I'm sure this had been released here already!"
Until then, well done DarkStar.......good to see a new contributor.

Unfortunately FLM's 'Search' function is a 'hit or miss' proposition a lot of the time. Due to the size of the US [REL] forum a manual search would be time consuming , BUT it's also possible that this is yet another 'lost' [in the transition] movie.
Whatever the case, 'Jersey Girl' is a movie that should be brought back to mind, as Raquel Castro is soooo cute!!
(Weird co-incidence that I JUST re-watched this last weekend! )
Thanks DS for posting this and 'The Little Fugitive' [another movie Raquel stars in].

Well, there is NO other "Jersey Girl" release here, no need for manual search

This was one of George Carlin's last movies, released just 2 years before his death. Raquel Castro was 10 when this film was released, though RFF indicates she's 7. Was the film made earlier than 2004 or was she just playing a younger girl? Incidentally, she's still FLM material (born November 1994).Ollie Trinkie is a publicist, who has a great girlfriend, Gertrude, whom he marries and they are expecting a baby but while he is looking forward to being a father, he doesn't lighten his workload. Gertrude gives birth but dies in the process. Ollie doesn't live up to his responsibilities as a father. Eventually the strain and pressure of losing his wife and being a father gets to him and he has breakdown, which leads to his termination. So with nothing much to do he tries to be good father to his daughter, Gertie. He also meets a young woman name Maya, who likes him but he is still not over his wife.

Check out the info on 'Deadland's Cry' [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1598783/ ], a movie that is now in post production that she has a major role in.
Supposedly the director wrote the script for the movie 5 or 6 years ago when Raquel was around 10 WITH her in mind [at that age] for the lead role.
Unfortunately he had to shelve the project for all these years and when he decided to go back to it, he REWROTE the script so he could STILL use the now teenaged Raquel in the lead role!! Sounds like HE had and has the hots for this cutie!!
Oh.. And many thanks, again, DS for posting Jersey Girl!! IMO it's Raquel in her prime!!!
Double OH!! Absolutely WELCOME to FLM, DS!! For a new member to jump right in posting some fabulous movies gives one hope that all is not lost with this new generation of members!!

Uh I love that movie. I'm not a big fan of romantic comedy but this one is nice.

Re: [REL] Jersey Girl (2004)
I can admit that I like Jersey Girl. It was not successful with audiences and director Kevin Smith has expressed his own disdain for it. But frankly, it is much much better than most of the dreck he has been releasing in the 21st century. Raquel is fantastic and George Carlin is very appealing too.
