We discussed this here before but I could not find the thread?

Abigail Breslin looks to be doing another great performance.
October 28, 2011 in theaters.
The soundtrack is already in stores and Abigail does several of the songs on it.

Re: Janie Jones (2010)
I don't recall seeing this before but I'm old so forgetting stuff isn't unusual. It looks like Abigail does her own singing and (maybe) playing the guitar, and doing it well. I have to admire that.ptguardian wrote:Janie Jones (2010)

Re: Janie Jones (2010)
A screener popped up on the scene today. "Janie.Jones.2011.DVDScr-PA" I have it and it seems good quality and watchable. However it appears to be cropped. Most likely a counter or property of watermark was at top? I suggest waiting for a proper dvdrip. Should be a couple of weeks, maybe sooner. If you don't want to wait like I said this is watchable.

I haven't noticed. Fakes on emule? The file I got was a scene release and is on TPB.starfish21 wrote:There are literally hundreds of fakes of this, why so many of this movie i wonder?
Great movie, Abigail is wonderful as always.
Proper dvd will probably not hit scene until after next Monday. Thats when a lot of encoders get their early upcoming dvd releases. The fact that you have seen a lot of fakes means people will be looking to post the real deal as soon as it is available. Currently only a screener is available. The screener I mentioned is dvdrip quality, only the top part of the video has been cropped. Who needs to see the tops of peoples heads anyways. LOL
Re: Janie Jones (2010)
I found a copy that appears to be good quality and not cropped (not my rip). It is from a screener but with no watermarks that I saw. I scanned through it but have not watched it yet. There may be an occasional pop-up notice for a screener, but if there is, I did not run across one. Some of the indoor and night shots look yellowish but it appears to be a color pallet choice of the director. The daytime shots look normal. I will include a few screenshots to show the quality.

I'm going to go ahead and move this to release. Someone will probably post an upgrade when it's finally released to DVD. Thanks vidman.

Perhaps that is the way it was shot? 240:1 aspect? This is the same screener I was referring to. Like I said it is very watchable.
