Spoiler: Danny Bara is one eleven-year-old girl who is nobody's fool. She lives at the track with her uncle Eddie, a horse trainer in the race circuit. Danny knows the horses. Danny knows the scams, and just how and when the races are fixed. Danny knows the odds makers-they depend on her for the inside story. And Danny knows that things are going to go nowhere for Uncle Eddie unless he can make his name with one great horse, a horse "you can ride into the money." Danny has found such a horse. Tom Thumb, a yearling up for sale, has champion potential and she knows it. She isn't fooled by Noel Ferguson, a big-time trainer who is talking Tom Thumb down. And when Moe Tully arrives in town, Danny knows it can only mean one thing-that races are going to be fixed. But there's opportunity in that for her. Placing her bets before school and picking up her winnings after, she is soon able to bankroll Uncle Eddie...

This was a nice little quiet DVD...

Leelee Sobieski always reminded me of Helen Hunt as a young teen..

I agree, never can have too many.

Leelee Sobieski has been a favorite of mine, She played the girlfriend in Jungle 2 Jungle and Deep Impact. A horse for Danny is her biggest role as a child actress and I am surprised it was never here before. I have most of her younger stuff, the one I don't have and want most is a series called Charlie Grace, she was great in that show. It only aired for 6 episodes but they made 9, so there are 3 missing episodes. Poor quality rips of the 6 that aired are on youtube. Hopefully it will get released on dvd someday. http://youtu.be/3nt2kgoO9Ww

A little bonus

From the show Grace Under Fire, Leelee has a cameo in the beginning and the end of this episode with little Kaitlin Cullum filling in the middle. Very funny with some first love fun.

i can give you 6 german language eps of this if you like Ptg.

It may be the best available. I think the youtube is missing ep2 and a lot of the parts in various episodes the sound is out of sync. It would take a lot of work to re-sync and match the audio to the German dubs you have. So I don't know if it is worth you releasing them or not? However it would be nice to see a clear picture. Thanks for the offer, it is up to you if want to up them.
