IMDb wrote:Elizabeth Kenny, as a young nurse out in the Australian bush discovers an effective treatment for polio, but can't get official recognition or sanction for her techniques and theories. For more than three decades (while she tells her fiancée she can't marry him, and repeatedly confronts the pigheaded orthopedic specialist Dr. Brack), she is prevented from treating acute cases and is ridiculed, while she seeks formal recognition for the efficacy of her treatment.

I was able to get starfish's file off DDL and am helping share it now. Crazy ignorant so-called doctors...

This can be moved to [REL] ... :)

Done. The 1.25GB file is coming in steadily but not enough to preview more than the first minute of title screens. Hard to tell from the thumbnails but it may be better quality. starfish's version is appreciated too, especially for space- and bandwidth-limited folks.

The pig-headedness of 'so called doctors' is not new. They never learn, do they? Just think what they did to Ignaz Semmelweis who tried to introduce the practice of doctors washing hands between patients and autopsies to avoid cross contamination. http://inventors.about.com/library/inve ... eptics.htm There should be a well publicised wall of shame listing the people whose stupidity or obstinacy set back medical progress immeasurably.

The 1.25GB file is verified and quality is quite good. I haven't compared it to starfish's version.
