This is a boy movie, but too cool not to give a heads up. A history making movie taking 12 years to complete. Also it looks from the trailer that his sister (I think the director's daughter) has good screentime.

Ellar Coltrane, who plays the boy of the title, was 7 years old when the movie started filming and 18 when it finished.
Richard Linklater and his crew get together annually to film Linklater's script about a boy who will eventually grow up into a college freshman.
Shooting began in the summer of 2002.
The film was called The Untitled 12 Year Project before it was titled as Boyhood.
