Ghost, how do you convert mkv to Xvid as I have a similar problem.

One way is to extract the video and audio stream with MKVextractGUI. But the problem is that this movie is encoded with the H.264 codec and i don't know any program that can convert this format into an avi.

So i used TMPGenc Xpress 4 (it can handle MKV and H.264!) and converted it to a high quality MPEG2. After this i used AutoGK.

Hi I recomend two good Converters:

Total Video Converter, which supports MKV and target it to AVI, MP4, WMV or more.

ConvertXtoDVD, which can convert from MKV or AVI, MPG WMV, MOV, RM to a DVD standard.

In the mule there are many of them.

Useless to convert an mkv to avi. MKV is container. You can extract it without lose quality.

I ripped this movie about a year ago, because I did not find this thread. Since the last avi is available, it probably makes no sense to post my own rip, but I decided to post my English subtitle file (utf-8 encoding), which has less defects than the opensubtitles.org version.
