Does ULOZ block foreign users?

Post by Warg »   0 likes

It seems that uloz.to is now blocking foreign users. I've got a message that their site cannot longer be accessed from my country (Germany). With proxy I could reach the site but the search function did not work. Luckily the site allows tor. Are there any other nations with the same problem or is it just Germany?!

The blocking is definitely due to uloz since the message is on one of their sites (https://uloz.to/blocked, strangely in english). The german government is not normally blocking any sites but some video or music sites block german ip's from downloading / watching for copyright reasons - could be the same here but why so suddenly after all this years? :?

:?: :?
That would be somehow strange, Phuzzy4242, because the message says clearly: "not available in your country", and I am not a sovereign nation afaik ... ;)

Warg is right.

Without using a proxy/VPN uloz blocks Germany.

But I don't mind, because I always connect via a VPN to the internet.
