Re: offline for a week/ ten days
That week turned into a month, and then I fell ill. Recovering now.

Take care of yourself, emuler. You've been missed around here.emuler wrote:That week turned into a month, and then I fell ill. Recovering now.
I hope you recover enough to enjoy any holidays that you are wont to celebrate.
kev.

Thanks, guys. Will do. Recovering during the Christmas season means you get to pig out without guilt.
Now if only my internet connection gets better, I can start sharing again. Damn traffic shaping. Even torrents aren't working; I have to resort to direct downloading, and you know how painful that is without premium features like resuming. Until then, I'll have to limit myself to posting requests, hoping that someone else will download and share for everyone here.

Welcome to Windows 10. I won't say any more about my opinions of it.
You might also want to try a live copy of Linux Mint. Many flavors of Linux can be run "live" - they run directly from a CD or flash drive without installing to the hard drive. Also, lots (maybe most) Windows programs will run using the WINE emulator. You might find you really like it.

Away for 2 weeks. Business trip. Might not have internet access where I'm going. On the other hand, might get HighID temporarily. One never knows.
Re: offline for a week/ ten days
You get to go on a business trip where they do not have internet?! That sounds like a VACATION to me!!! Maybe they won't even have cell service, either. Paradise.
May your time away from home be safe and pleasant.
