The Ocean Girl TV show was a 30 minute Australian family sci-fi series that aired on ATV-10 in Australia and on the Disney Channel in the U.S. It was set in the near future and was about a girl named Neri who lived alone on a deserted island, could talk to Whales, and was able to breath underwater. Neri made friends with two boys who lived in an underwater research facility that is occupied by hundreds of people. Most of the stories took place there and concentrated on the lives of the people who lived there and their curiousity about Neri's origins.
