AutoGK never takes much longer than about 90 minutes for me ART.....

Two things.....

1.....Your input file should be the first VOB of the movie. AutoGK will automatically load the subsequent VOB's.

2.....Change the target size to either 1399 or 1401mb. Older versions (& possibly even the current one) will try to encode two 700mb files if set to precisely 1400mb.

Keep us posted.

No, it's not normal for it to take so long at that step.

It was about to run the program DGIndex. Try this to try to figure out what is happening.

First click abort on AutoGK to start over.

Now press Ctrl+F9 which should pop up a new window with more settings, "Hidden Options".

Now select "do not hide DGIndex" in the lower left corner.

Click OK on the Hidden options dialog.

Start your encode again. At the point in the log where you were, it should pop up a progress window. (Click the thumbnail to see the whole thing the thumbnail cuts it off)

That might be where you are getting stuck.
