What´s wrong?

Post by Pranama »   1 likes

Since some time, when eMule starts it takes too much CPU or what, the computer slows down considerably for about half an hour. After that period everything seems OK again. It wasn´t the case previously, let´s say a month ago or so. What might be the cause? Thx in advance for advices.

Is there heavy disk activity at that time?
Check the log (lower half of the screen on the server tab). Any clues there?
Enable verbose mode for logs (if you haven't done so already) and check there too.

starfish21: the post you have linked to is about 10 years old. Most users have much better hardware nowadays. ;) It is very rare for eMule to use significant resources except while hashing files (newly added files, or when a download completes).

I suggest simply re-installing your mule.
