Many of you may remember the boyscouts forum. Many of their members are at 'Reel Boys' now. Similar site to this one but focuses mainly on one gender. Many times we find where there is one there is often the other.

A great resource of hard to finds and they update daily.

Their brother site 'The Wild Boys' is also being affected and they are having to change. So far they have decided to keep going and are switching to other means of sharing.

The problem many of these sites risk with the DDL are that they can be considered as actually hosting the files. Thus being held responsible for them. Emule we are only offering a link of which anyone and everyone can share or not. Once the file is on emule it is a part of the emule world network of billions of files and it is up to the individual as to if they decide to download it.

I suggest not hosting any DDL here. Just post a url to where we can get them. That way it is someone else's site that host them. We are only letting you know where to find them. It is up to the individual if they actually go to another site and use them or not.

Sounds more like personal reasons, because nobody was threatening the site. Besides, weren't SOPA and PIPA rejected anyway?

I doubt it makes any legal difference whether we post DDL or ed2k links. It just appears that DDLs can be rather short lived (and can't be "reshared" once they are down, thus polluting the forum).

SOPA and PIPA weren't passed as stand-alone bills because public outcry was too strong against their obvious big-business sponsorship and grab at private freedoms and rights.

What'll happen is that similar legislation will be attached to bills the politicians won't DARE to not pass, probably something like an 'anti-child-porn' bill. If a politician votes against such a bill to stop a SOPA/PIPA add-on, they'll be crucified. The slime who want these laws will say "<gasp> If you don't vote for this bill you must be FOR child pornography!" and the crap add-ons will get passed along with it.

It would take a politician with strong ethics to vote against something like that, and anyone who can say 'politician' and 'strong ethics' in the same sentence without gagging is either a politician who is lying to you, a comedian being ironic, or someone too naive to be allowed out of their ivory tower.

Is there any legal way to shut down FLM? I don't think so

If it is shut down unlawfully, we can use another host.

DDL does not make any difference IMO.
