Heaven and Earth (1987)

Mady McKeon, a 10-year-old girl living in a farm town, is deeply affected by the death of a schoolteacher and her grandfather. Her father sells part of the family farm to the Air Force. The Air Force starts building a missile base. Mady watches a TV show that describes the devastation of missile attacks during World War II, and she runs away from home. Her parents reconcile and find her, and the entire town is brought together.

The girl,
Marcie Leeds was in a few other well known movies [Near Dark; Beaches; Wheels of Terror] so I'm kinda surprised that THIS movie has never been picked up and released on vid or DVD... (At least not in the US; it's country of ORIGIN!!)
RELEASE THIS MOVIE, DAMMIT!!!

Rich's link is dead and I can't find much more info about this film under any of its titles. Maybe "someone" can make "someday" be soon.

I actually was able to purchase a PAL VHS of this movie. Even went so far as to pick up a PAL video machine, but living in the US I needed a converter to make it show on my NTSC tv...
SOOO... IsetthevideoofftothesideandoverthelastcoupleofyearsILOSTIT!!!!!!!
I hoping to get to some 'spring cleaning' soon, and finding this film will be a priority...

A stream capture device can copy on to your PC, it won't matter if it is PAL or NTSC. After you copy, convert to share it and or watch on your NTSC TV.

surely any dvd writer will read this,why the need for a dvd player at all? i havent owned a dvd player for years,theres lots of ripping software out there.

kev is referring to a vhs tape not a dvd. European vhs players won't play on our TVs.
