The Turning (2020)

Synopsis:

You aren't going to believe what this movie is about..

BUT I guess it goes to show you GREAT stories are timeless and are always open for another remake/revision/revival....

For more than 100 years, a deeply haunting tale has been passed down to terrify audiences. Next January, DreamWorks Pictures’ The Turning takes us to a mysterious estate in the Maine countryside, where newly appointed nanny Kate is charged with the care of two disturbed orphans, Flora and Miles. Quickly though, she discovers that both the children and the house are harboring dark secrets and things may not be as they appear.

A young governess is hired by a man who has become responsible for his young nephew and niece after the deaths of their parents. A modern take on Henry James' novella "The Turn of the Screw".

Yep!! ANOTHER 'The Turn of the Screw' remake....

Looks like 'Miles' is played by one of the cast of 'Stranger Things' while 'Flora' is

Brooklynn Prince who first came to our attention in 'The Florida Project' [ https://www.first-loves.net/forums/v ... da+project ].

Despite the redundancy of the material, I'm looking forward to this one! Comes out near the end of January...

Hollywood hasn't had an original story line in years - everything is a remake... or maybe that's REAM-make - just to drag in a little more cash. This is like, what, the 12th or 13th remake of this story? I doubt I'll bother.

I must admit it is the most adapted story either because the story is super interesting or the people of Los Angeles were encouraged to make the American version, beyond my expectations it will not exceed that of Eloy de la Iglesia, although Ivan Noel also

Same here.. I've been checking uloz numerous times a day, virtually every day since this quarantine has been imposed. (This, 'Cherrypicker/Ankle Biters' and 'Wendy'.)

I'm thinking of making a 'MEGA' post like ART, listing a bunch of the movie titles I've come across..
