AMULYAM (2007)

Synopsis :

It is a tale of a ten year old girl Amulya who struggles to protect her grandmother’s dignity and self respect, which are eroded by the pace of her modern parents changing lives and values.

Janakamma, the grandmother, a farmer, practitioner of traditional healing, came to live with her son’s family. But they disapproved her ways of life as old and insulted her. She decided to return to her village with humiliation. Amulya followed her to the village without the approval of her parents.

How Amulya restores her estranged grandmother to her rightful place in the heart of her family is the story of ‘Amulyam’.

Synopsis :

Lilkee is a 10 year old domestic help from Nainital brought to Mumbai by a young architect – Bela. Lilkee finds it difficult to adjust with the city life.

Lilkee encounters a gang of our girls – who were spoilt brats from rich families. They do look down upon Lilkee and would not allow her to play with pups and treat her as inferior.

In a strange turn of events, during Navratri Celebrations all the four girls befriends with Lilkee and dance with her. The girls now try to help their new friend Lilkee by raising money for her return to Nainital but Lilkee’s pride and and self-respect doesn’t allow her to accept the money and she politely refuses to go back to her village.

The girls now offer her a treat i.e. to take her to the sea shore during the school hours. Lilkee informs their employer regarding her plans but the other than four girls do not inform their parents. The parents are worried when they see their children have not returned from the school but Bela, Lilkee’s employer tells them that they might have gone to the beach. While all girls get scolding for their misadventure, next day Lilkee is admitted to their school by her kind hearted employer much to the amazement of the girls.
EK AADESH (2007) (30m - Short?)
Synopsis :

Mahek is a 11 year old girl and is a day dreamer. She dreams big and success but the unfortunate story is that the opposite of her dreams happen in real life and she is always a looser.

Mahek one day meets one old lady who claims to be a “modern fairy” & she gives a piece of advise to Mahek to do what she is good at. Mahek doesn’t know what is good at other than day dreaming.

When the class teacher announces essay competition, Mahek gives her last try and chooses “Imagination” as her subject. She writes the essay but throws it away in despair.

The results of the competition are declared. Her essay stands first. She is baffled ! how come? Is it one more dream? She comes home with the trophy only to find the old fairly sitting right one her couch – It was none other than her aunt Zarina.

The essay she wrote & threw away was found by her Mom & Dod in the Trash bin and they had sent it secretly to the teacher.

Now Mahek knows what she is best at and wants to be a writer !

Er.. second and fourth seem to be the same film. :bigups :think
