Desi is eleven years old and, like other children of her age, goes to school during the day. But she doesn't always know where she'll be spending the night. Desi's mother died when she was a baby. Harry, her unemployed father lives with his new girlfriend, Esther. Desi has her own room at their house but cannot always rely on her father. In this touching documentary we follow the daily rhythm of a young extraordinary life, a rhythm that, in Desi's eyes, is perfectly ordinary.

Desi is an 11-year-old girl from Amsterdam who is unusually strong and self-reliant for her age. However, in this documentary viewers learn that Desi's maturity came through necessity rather than chance; Desi's mother committed suicide when she was an infant, and her fractured, dysfunctional family was never able to establish a permanent guardian. After a day at school, Desi is never sure whether she'll be staying with her father, one of her surviving grandparents, or her best friend (the latter offering the closest thing to a stable home life that Desi has ever known). Yeah, I know. Besides being very short words, a lot of pr0n 'stars' use such and it's impossible to weed them out to find the "real" movies. I suspect many films will never be found because it's like searching for a needle in a haystack.
