It was shot on film, and the film can be scanned at 4K resolution, so this won't be a mere upscale.

Orangelamp is right. Bilitis was shot on 35mm film and that format is ideal for scanning at 4k resolution. Even mere 16mm film can look terrific in 4k UHD. Meanwhile, there are plenty of modern movies that are shot in just 2k with digital cameras and then upscaled to 4k.

That is ..... not saying very much. Which is an understatement. A YUUUGE one.
Also, didn't he off himself when he was accused by a woman of abusing her when she was an underage girl, or something?
At least Ivan Noel had more grace, IMHO

Laurent Bouzereau IS GOD!!!! Beginning in the 1990s laserdisc era he created feature-length documentaries on films from the 1960s and 70s. Many of them were from Universal Studios, so he had a wealth of vintage material to include with his more recent retrospective interviews. He made the BEST bonus-feature material EVER! Some of it I even watched twice.

He continued in the DVD era and is still going now, progressing to more recent movies. Other film experts thought they could do the same thing, but no, they pretty much all SUCK! They are the reason that many viewers avoid disc extras like poison; many of them range from tedious to just plain BAD. Oh Laurent, I always cheered when I saw your name in the credits!

Give Laurent all of David's leftover film and let him interview David's pissed-off former girlfriends / collaborators, and we could have an interesting documentary.

If you're a Lord of the Rings fan I recomend checking out the 3x 1h30m Costa Boates doc's on the making of the trilogy. There's defintely torrents. They're really kinda rough and random - but so were the films themselves in the way they were put together and shot. Originally he was shafted by the studio - got a flat fee, then licensing problems as they kinda dissapeared despite the success of the films. I guess some agreement was eventually struck as I think they're on the box-set of the bluray version.

What sucks about this is that the 4k is an AI upscale OR really bad prost processing by someone who doesn't know (and this is upscaled by the actual company that released it, not someone on the internet)...

Indeed. Unless you're going to master properly in 4K there's no point to putting out a 4K bluray. It's just a waste.

I'm surprised because the 1080p bluray discs of these Hamilton movies tend to be well done. I was especially impressed with Laura, they removed most of that annoying haze that blurred the image - except for the shower scene where steam made actual haze in the room.

I know an English language version exists as I have an SD copy of it.
