Or maybe someone else downloaded it from iTunes on their own? (Isn't deadman using the obligatory Scene naming rules?)
[REL] Romeo et Juliette (2006)
Re: [REL] Romeo et Juliette (2006)
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Re: [REL] Romeo et Juliette (2006)
That would imply he lied about ripping it himself. (The torrent uses the exact same file name as deadman’s).
He just used some of the scene file name format which I also often use for own rips & copies - because (unlike ghost hahah) I always want to keep in the file name where the video came from , what’s the audio, etc.
e.g. when I download something from YouTube I will do something like:
Code: Select all
Short.Film.2023.FRENCH.EngSubbed.1080p.WEB.x264-YouTube.mkv

This was I’ll know immediately the Codec, resolution and that it was directly ripped from YouTube and not a re-encode from elsewhere
Re: [REL] Romeo et Juliette (2006)
I have no reason to think he did not rip it himself! I mistook his filename for Scene-standard, so I figured others would name theirs the same. I guess not.
Re: [REL] Romeo et Juliette (2006)
Ah got it. I come to learn in the short time I’ve spent here that a lot gets reposted to other sites. Would have been quite the coincidence for such a rare Film to get ripped by another person from iTunes as well

Yes, and the quality is inferior to the actual 720p webrip from deadman.
I just figured out that noodlemagazine.com and mat5tube.com are the same site with different domains. They got so, so many films often even in 1080p. Good Alternative to vk/ok.ru/mail.ru

Regarding this film..a shame they couldn’t be less prude but then again for a Film of the 2000s I guess it showed a lot..?
Considering the female lead was 14 it's amazing they showed as much as they did, plus a sex scene that was ... pretty convincing, shall we say. Anywhere else in North America besides Quebec they never would have been so risque. It's the French influence.

No big surprise someone made a torrent from my release. People online often get content from one site and share it on another, it's how things spread. Anyone who ripped the same iTunes release would've gotten an identical file - but most likely they got it from my release, either directly from FLM or on other blogs and sites that borrow from it. Didn't put my sos tag on it (stands for son of satan, my usenet alias) so I can't be sure. It's not like I'm the rightsholder or make money when people download my links though. I actually like seeing my stuff elsewhere.
As far as the 1080p, I think it's just a matter of many iTunes releases being upscaled DVD. You can't tell the difference between identical frames of my 720p release and the actual DVD. The 1080p version of this movie looks (again) exactly the same. It's just a little bigger, with no quality advantage. iTunes titles that are actually full HD may look better in 1080p resolution than 720p. I don't do much business with them. Wouldn't know.

Those sites are good for previewing something you haven't seen before, to decide if it's worth the effort of tracking down a better copy. Quality tends to be mediocre at best.
Re: [REL] Romeo et Juliette (2006)
I only remember the old discussions back in 2013-2015 online regarding tv shows and I was always told the that iTunes 720p web-dl is superior to their 1080p due to Bitrate etc.
Tigermilch (2017) is decent streaming quality on that Site imho but I agree especially with many tvrips having the original source is far superior

I updated my post here:
https://www.first-loves.net/forums/view ... 047#p80047
Replaced dead links and added both the full DVD and a rip of the BTS featurette.
