I'm not sure which of these releases is the full and uncensored one. I'm getting confusing information. The full release (according to IMDB) should be 114 minutes, but some of these links are only 111 minutes. Does anyone have a link to the most complete version?

According to that site, there should at least be a 117 minute version (Germany) available, but every version I can find is the shortened one. Has anyone else had any luck with this?

I am very skeptical of that person's claim, it sounds like bullshit to me. It is at least POSSIBLE that HBO got it directly from the director as the version she had before she began her extensive editing in her attempt to get it released in India. Still, 15 minutes of edited-out sex scenes seems SO unlikely given the arthouse nature of the director. Had she completely lost her mind? Was she somehow entirely unaware of the conservative film censorship in her home country? Although lots of sex scenes would seem appropriate for a movie called "Kama Sutra" (read the book), if THAT much additional footage was in the HBO version then it seems more like the version of "Caligula" after Bob Guccione added full-on porn footage to an already adult-themed film.

I do know the 114 minute "unrated" version was released on DVD in the U.S. The 1080p versions I downloaded (and deleted) were the 111 minute cut. I got tired of trying different torrents for a longer version in 1080p. I was intrigued by the information at IMDB that there was a 117 minute version, which at least SEEMS like a reasonable length for the director to have had before she trimmed it for censorship reasons. I downloaded a DVD ISO from a private torrent site that CLAIMED to be 117 minutes, but it was actually just the 114 minute U.S. DVD with one more subtitle added.

Implausible, but not impossible. The Indian movie scene is weird and probably unlike any other. Many films are (or at least used to be) made in several versions, with the juiciest versions reserved for the private financiers who had put up the money, many of them from the Middle East. It is unlikely that those versions will ever see the light of day - perhaps if the oil runs out.
India films are also rather lengthy - 3 hours is the norm - and have to be shortened for the international markets where the viewers don't have that kind of stamina or attention span.

I don't watch Indian movies, maybe three or four movies, but I remember this movie because of the title (Kamasutra) , the first time I watched it on TV (at night it was broadcast) then I liked it
