La zona vacía sounds like a movie with an interesting premise.

Luis is an astrophysicist who leads an orderly life with Ángela. Everything changes when his new neighbors arrive with their daughter Iris. Overwhelmed by the memory of a childhood love, he tries to control his emotions towards the girl so that his life does not break down. Luis will find himself immersed in a descent into his personal hell in which everything seems to lead him to make the most terrible of decisions.

Premise Sounds interesting but looking at the trailer it seems like one of those films where the synopsis/description actually says more (clear) things about the story than the film will actually show (because it’s some indie artsy film with surrealism elements and weird editing)
